Mascara should always be applied from the bottom up to ensure maximum color payoff at the tips. Start by placing the mascara brush at the base of the lashes and then use small zigzag motions to sweep upwards. This gives the lashes more volume and curl without weighing them down. The motion also ensures that every single lash is coated and beautifully separated.

TIP: Repeatedly pumping the mascara brush up and down quickly can cause the mascara to dry out faster because this technique introduces too much air into the tube. It's better to rotate the brush in one direction inside the tube before pulling it out, as this distributes the mascara evenly across the bristles.
